There’s not much progress in my freelancing endeavors last week. I still have the same two running jobs but tasks are pretty hard to come by, so even if I had tried so hard to pull my Odesk earnings closer to my target, it was not possible.

But there’s one good thing that happened last week and that’s the new Odesk job I got last Friday. It’s a writing job and it pays 5.40$/hr. It is still less than my asking price but the employer told me that a raise should be possible once we established a good working relationship with each other. So, I am okay with that because first, there’s a possibility to increase my rate and second, employers, who are willing to pay that much, don’t come by that often in Odesk anymore.
It’s a writing job and it requires 20hrs/week. If I’ll work for 20 hours and if I’ll be given enough tasks for those working hours, then I’ll earn 108$/week from this project alone. That would be a big boost to my Odesk earnings.
From what I gathered from the details of the first set of tasks I got for this job, the employer is very professional and also very particular. He had set certain standards and formulas that I should follow when I write and when I submit an article to him. During the interview, I told him I could finish a 400-600words article in about two hours and he’s okay with that. He actually told me that the articles he wants are real articles and not just SEO feeders.
I hope I can live up to the expectations of this employer. I hope that once I’ve proven my worth, this employer will take me seriously and will see me as an asset and as such, he should take care that I am satisfied with my salary. Hehehe. I am dreaming again.
